Quark introduced Quark Publishing System (QPS) 7, the latest version of its collaborative workflow software. The system is based around its desktop publishing software QuarkXPress 7 and has system requirements of Mac OSX v10.4.9 or later, Java J2SE Runtime Environment 1.5, QuarkXPress 7.2.1, and Quark License Administrator 4.0.1.

QPS enables publishers, newspapers, and magazines to create and manage a digital document workflow while linking editorial and design systems around QuarkXPress. New features include an open standards-based architecture that supports an unlimited number of publications in one system, server-side scripting support for QuarkXPress 7 and QuarkCopyDesk7, and QPS Web Editor, which allows users to write, edit, and copyfit text over the Internet.
